Brooke Fraser’s successful musical career:

Her first album “What To Do With Daylight” was first released in New-Zealand, in 2003 it became so successful that it got platinum status for 7 times! She managed to sell a whopping 100,000 copies in just New-Zealand alone. In addition, she managed to remain at the top of the charts for 66 weeks. All of her 5 singles managed to make it to the top 20. Some of her most famous albums are the following:  Better (2003), Lifeline (2003), Saving the world (2004), Arithmetic (2004), Without you (2005) Deciphering me (2006), Shadow feet (2007), Albertine (2007) cs Lewis Song (2007)

Brooke Fraser is the oldest sibling out of her three siblings, She grew up in Naenae, Lower hutt and attended school at dyer-street school after that, she switched schools to Naenae Intermediate and Naenae college. Fraser had an affinity to music as a young girl, and thus showed great interest in playing the piano, and she pursued her desires by taking piano lessons at the age of 7 years. She continue playing the piano until she was 17. She also loved writing songs, and began writing them at the age of 12, and also learned the acoustic guitar on her own. For such a great singing talent, it’s surprising to know that she never took singing lessons. On an annual New-Zealand festival the “Parachute” she performed live in front of audiences, and continued to do so, until 2000. Later in life, following the success of her very first album, Fraser decided to move to Sydney, Australia, there she resided for 5 years. She often commuted to the United States on her tours. Later in life, she ended up marrying Scott ligertwood who also resided in Sydney, Australia.

Awards and Reconditions:

Throughout her career Broke Fraser has won several awards, such as: Most promising women musician award, Best female solo artists for the album “What To Do With Daylight“, Breakthrough artist of the year for what to do with daylight, Most performed work on NZ radio, She earned a silver scroll from Australasian Performing Right Association, The warehouse’s largest selling album- Albertine- Apra silver scroll awards, Record of the year- Deciphering me, Editors music choice award- Albertine, International Achievement- 2009 New-Zealand music award.
