Laura Story Blessings
Aug 8th
Laura Story is most famously known for being the author of the song “Indescribable,” which received worldwide recognition after it was recorded by Louie Giglio and Chris Tomlin. Laura Story recently released her latest album Blessings, and it has been praised by lovers of worship music worldwide.
The song Blessings, which is also the title track, was the first track to be released off the singer/songwriter’s new album, and has been getting a lot of airplay since the month of March. Critics of worship music have said that the song Blessings is a well written song that offers its listeners encouragement, and helps them to remember that our final home is not this world, and that the trials experienced in life can be blessings in disguise. The song Blessings is a great reminder that our wants and needs may not be what God wants for use, and that God does not always use prosperity to bless his children. Additionally, Blessings has made the top Billboard Christian Songs.
Apart from the title track, “This is the Day” is also a song from the album Blessings that you will certainly enjoy. The song is very catchy and upbeat, and you will find that in no time you will know all the lyrics. Also on the album Blessings is a song entitled “Prodigal Son,” which reminds us of the love that God has for His children, and how He is patiently waiting for his rebellious children to come back to the fold. Another song on the album is “Friends of Sinners,” which is a constant reminder that we should have love for the least among us, in the same way that God has love for us.
The track “One Life to Lose” tells us that in order to be born again and experience a new life in Christ; we need to get rid of our old ways.
“You are Love” is a song that gives God all the praise for all the mercies he has and continues to bestow upon us. “Your Name Will Be Praised” similarly praises God for all he has done for us, and all the blessings that he has provided for us. “Faithful God” is considered to be a prayer to God, which thanks him for his grace and enduring love. “What a Savior” is a favorite among many, and can be used for praise and worship
sessions.
“Remember” is one of the most touching songs on the album Blessings, as it causes us to remember how much Jesus has sacrificed for us, and the horrible experience he had to endure on our behalf.
In general, the album Blessings is a compilation of songs that reminds us of God’s undying love and goodness for his children. Laura Story showcases her incredible writing skills in the way she causes listeners to get in touch with their emotions, and recommit their lives to God.

Laura Story
Aug 8th
Laura Story is one of the world’s best Christian songs author, and it was not until her early twenties that she discovered that she had the ability to write songs and sing. During her second year as a student at Columbia International University, Laura Story met a young man named Shane Williams, who asked her to become a member of his Indie Pop-Rock band known as Silers Bald. Five years later, Laura Story found that she was being drawn into a different musical direction, and so her manager suggested that she recorded her own independent album, although Silers Bald was on the verge of signing a record deal with Essential Records.
Laura Story started to record her first independent album in 2002, without knowing where the money for the recording sessions, or the last song on the album would come from. While driving along the mountain roads one particular day Laura Story began singing and worshiping, and the along with reading Job 38, the words of Story’s final song on her first album came to her. This song was to be the title track of the album; the song name was ‘Indescribable.’
‘Indescribable’ gained worldwide fame when in 2004 when it was recorded by Chris Tomlin for his album entitled ‘Arriving,’ which was produced by Ed Cash. ‘Indescribable’ instantly made it to the top of the America’s Christian Music Charts, where for seven weeks it remained in the number one position, and for fifty weeks it stayed in the top fifteen.
During 2005, Laura Story released her sophomore independent album, which was produced by Mitch Dance and Ed Cash. This Christian songs author’s sophomore album was entitled ‘There is Nothing.’ Also in 2005, Laura Story married Martin Elvington, and relocated to Atlanta where she became the women’s pastor and the worship music leader for music and arts community at Perimeter Church.
Very regularly, this Christian songs author shares with more than one hundred women, her worship music and her love of God, through the job that she holds at Perimeter Church. Moreover, it does not seem that she has plans of slowing down anytime soon.
Laura Story has said that she does not have the perfect life or the perfect voice; however, she believes that God is allowing her to use her worship music to speak to the Church. This Christian songs author has also said that, during this period of her life she has learned more about who God is, and what exactly His plans for her are. She also believes that the messages that God gives her to share with others, are in the form of her worship music.

tobyMac and worship Music
May 20th
“Passion for my art drives me so long as I feel the Most High breathing new songs through me. I am committed to a project that when writing and recording I will never rely on what has worked in the past and never fear what hasn’t. The canvas is blank and the colors are endless.” These are the words of tobyMac which cannot be used to emphasize how passionate he is about his work and worship Songs as a whole. He is a professional musician, producer, and songwriter. tobyMac though now 43 his career is still growing strong.
He started his Worship Music career way back in 1987 with his founder group DC Talks. As you might know early music in the church was shaped by Greek, Syrian, and Hebrew influences, well Dc Talks and some other artists like Carmen brought out a new meaning into all that with the emergence of Contemporary Christian songs. Contemporary Worship Music tends to put more emphasis on reaching out to the youth. Sadly the group disbanded in 2000, but this was not able to stop tobyMac from leaping to great heights.
His songs have made him to have a huge religious influence to people around the world and he is even considered a hero among some people. His goal, in his own words, is: “…to start a revolution that will sweep across cities and erase the devise lines that keep people and cultures apart.” tobyMac calls his music gumbo because he tries to mix hip hop, rock, rap and reggae together. He says he does this so that he can get through to every kind of people no matter what they listen to.
He says that he came up through Christian music but he wants to commune and bridge the gap, to reach out and touch people’s lives and be effective, he also says he wants to reach outside the church and touch lives as walls come down. When talking about Momentum he says he hopes his record stirs people into thinking about God.
