Abhorrent Luna 13 brings dark beliefs into the electronica age

It once seemed like EDM was the one scene that would be free from Satanic influences and dark philosophies and due to Luna 13, those are days gone passed. We contacted Luna 13 for a brief understanding of their beliefs and motives and here is what the duo had to say. For those new to Luna 13, Luna 13 is an innovative duo Luna 13, the first one to successfully mix EDM to Death Metal, is known for controversy.
Their brutal, but also theatrical and outstanding performances, featuring blood-drinking rituals and other not-for-the-weak-at-heart expedients, stirred up Californian venue owners and promoters on several occasions. For a long time, the controversial duo saw many closed doors and couldn’t play important venues.
Things changed after the band started winning awards and shocking people with dark performances that even got them shut down at the Artisan in Las Vegas last year.. With their provocative, peculiar, unusual show, providing a different point of view on life and spirituality, Lilith Bathory and Dr. Luna finally have a chance to express their full artistic potential and their beliefs too, in which we will remain neutral for now.

Luna 13 views Witchcraft as Freedom?

Luna 13 members make no secret of their beliefs in witchcraft. They acknowledge themselves as Witches who challenge listeners to embrace darkness, considered part of human nature.
“To neglect the dark side of life is to live in ignorance,” says Dr. Luna, explaining in depth what their spirituality is all about.
“We are Satanic in our image and embrace dark forces,” the producer proceeds, “but we believe in karma and that all people should be treated fairly and with generosity.”
The spirituality emerging from Dr. Luna’s words is dynamic and vigorous.
“We believe in energy,” he says, “energy as consciousness, so we are not atheist.”
The invocation of dark gods and goddesses serves as a mean toward gaining more awareness of energy.
This awareness, together with the embracing of our dark side, results in the abandoning of repressive thinking, leading oneself to real Freedom.
“We invoke the dark side of nature and express it through music as the liberating force that creates the oneness that we seek.”

G.O.A.T. Witch

The Californian duo is now working on a new release, which will contain many references to their spiritual beliefs.
G.O.A.T. Witch features several devotional hymns to the dark side of life and songs against the repression of free thinking (their opinion).
“We are against this new “Christian” America,” Dr. Luna explains, “and we believe that no one has the right to oppress another form of thinking.”
As an example of this, the song Burn The Church Down is an invitation to let go of the hypocrisy of traditional religions.
Other examples of the new records are The Satanic Christ, a devotional hymn to the dark god Baphomet, and Mater Daemonorium, which is a witchcraft invocation to the Dark Mother.

After viewing Luna 13’s new materiel like Burn The Church Down, Devil’s Wrath, Chop You to Pieces and The Satanic Christ it becomes clear that the EDM world, so known for it’s parental safety and commercial influence has to become victim of a new dark influence.
